How SureSmile works
SureSmile is a clear aligner system built around digital precision. Here's what that means for you in practice.
- Advanced digital scanning - We start with a detailed 3D digital scan of your teeth — no messy impressions, no uncomfortable trays. Just a quick, comfortable scan that captures every detail of your smile with remarkable accuracy.
- Precision treatment planning - Using your digital scan, Dr. Chrapka designs your complete treatment plan from start to finish. You'll be able to see a simulation of where your teeth are going before your first aligner is even made, so you know exactly what you're working toward before you commit to anything.
- Custom made aligners - Your aligners are manufactured specifically for your teeth based on your digital scan and treatment plan. Each set is worn for approximately two weeks before moving to the next, gradually and comfortably guiding your teeth into their new position.
- Fewer appointments - Unlike traditional braces which require frequent adjustments, SureSmile clear aligner treatment requires only a handful of check-in appointments throughout the entire process, just enough for Dr. Chrapka to confirm everything is moving according to plan. How Treatment Works — Step by Step

Your Consultation
You'll come in for an initial assessment. Dr. Chrapka will take some x-rays, have a look at your teeth, discuss your goals, and let you know whether clear aligner treatment is the right option for your specific situation. There's no pressure to commit at this appointment, just honest information so you can make the best decision for yourself.

Your Digital Scan and Treatment Plan
If you decide to move forward, we'll take a full 3D digital scan of your teeth and Dr. Chrapka will design your complete treatment plan. You'll see a simulation of your projected results before your aligners are made, so you can feel genuinely excited and confident before treatment even begins.
03.
Your Aligners Arrive
Your custom aligners are manufactured and ready for you to pick up. Dr. Chrapka will walk you through exactly how to wear them, how to care for them, and what to expect as your teeth begin to move.
04.
Wearing Your Aligners
You'll wear your aligners for 23 hours per day, removing them to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush and floss before putting them back in. Every two weeks you move to the next set in your series. Most patients tell us they stop noticing they're wearing them within the first few days.

Check-in Appointments
You'll come in for a small number of check-in appointments throughout your treatment, just enough for Dr. Chrapka to confirm your teeth are tracking correctly and make any adjustments needed. No monthly visits. No unnecessary trips to the office.

Your Result
When your final aligner is complete, Dr. Chrapka will evaluate your result and fit you with a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position. This is the step most patients have been waiting for, and it rarely disappoints.
